What did you learn about photography this semester?
This semester, I learned a lot about whats makes someone a "photographer". It was definitely a lot harder than I expected it to be. Photography is angles and lighting and the way you hold your camera. Its the type of lens you use and the isotopes and shutter speed. Its the thing you're photographing that makes a photo pleasing to the eye.
What did you learn about yourself this semester?
Somethings I really noticed I've learned through this class is that I really didn't know a whole lot about photography. Or -atleast all that I thought I did. Theres so much more to it that say "1, 2, 3" to whoever you're photographing. I really like how I'm able to apply what I learned in this class to the photography in Yearbook.
What do you wish we had done that we did not?
I'm not sure there's really anything I wish we would have done that we didn't just because I don't really know a lot about different photography assignments.
What was your struggle?
My camera broke half way through the semester and it was pretty difficult to take photos. Angelie and I occasionally shared her camera, or I'd use a Yearbook camera.
Another thing I found difficult this year was any assignment where we had to use the dark room. It was really hard to try and get a good picture when you have no idea if the photo came out alright.
What did you conquer?
This semester, I over came some of my laziness. With this class, you have to stay on top of your photography otherwise you'll get extremely far behind with a matter of days. It makes it really hard to miss a period or to just not do a weekend assignment because right when you get back to class you have to edit or develop and post and write and then once thats done you get a whole new assignment that day!
