Lsat Day Reflections.

What did you learn about photography this semester?
This semester, I learned a lot about whats makes someone a "photographer".  It was definitely a lot harder than I expected it to be.  Photography is angles and lighting and the way you hold your camera.  Its the type of lens you use and the isotopes and shutter speed.  Its the thing you're photographing that makes a photo pleasing to the eye.

What did you learn about yourself this semester?
Somethings I really noticed I've learned through this class is that I really didn't know a whole lot about photography.  Or -atleast all that I thought I did.  Theres so much more to it that say "1, 2, 3" to whoever you're photographing.  I really like how I'm able to apply what I learned in this class to the photography in Yearbook.

What do you wish we had done that we did not?
I'm not sure there's really anything I wish we would have done that we didn't just because I don't really know a lot about different photography assignments.

What was your struggle?
My camera broke half way through the semester and it was pretty difficult to take photos.  Angelie and I occasionally shared her camera, or I'd use a Yearbook camera.
Another thing I found difficult this year was any assignment where we had to use the dark room.  It was really hard to try and get a good picture when you have no idea if the photo came out alright.

What did you conquer?
This semester, I over came some of my laziness.  With this class, you have to stay on top of your photography otherwise you'll get extremely far behind with a matter of days.  It makes it really hard to miss a period or to just not do a weekend assignment because right when you get back to class you have to edit or develop and post and write and then once thats done you get a whole new assignment that day!

My brother has this thing where just all the dang time he'll do the Michael Jackson "EE HEE" thing... I caught him in the action ;)

Love by Lights.

During this project, I really struggled with keeping the camera still. The four friends of my cousin's that wrote in this picture we PRO'S like seriously, they made it look so easy!

Fireworks Galore!

Fireworks going off on New Years Eve!

Happy Birthday Younger Brother.

T'was my little brother's birthday and I thought it would be cool to take a picture of the wonderful birthday cake I made him! Using the app on my mom's iphone, i told everyone to stay out of the picture.... Of course, little brother had to touch the cake!

Appropriate Pressure Washing in December.

For some reason, my father thinks its perfectly acceptable to go outside in the 45 degree weather to pressure wash the roof of our house.... Not sure why he wouldn't just wait until June or July? However, thanks to him, he made it a bit easier to get this project done. For this photo, I simply took it with my camera phone. Who knew it could take great pictures! The only hard thing about it was moving the picture onto my computer seeing as theirs no service in the school.

Tina-Sparkle, my cousin's horse. This photo shoot was particularly hard because I had to control an animal and my impatient cousin all the same. I definitely learned to have more patience with both the girl and the horse.

These photos were taken at concert I went to. The way they were taken was completely by accident. I didn't expect them to turn out the way they did.

Beach Walks. Picking Up Rocks.

Waving.

This photo was taken at a beach near Lincoln city. I simply set my dad's tripod up and had cecilia walk through the camera with me. Personally, my favorite part of this photo is the the people behind us picking up rocks. During this photo shoot, I really struggled with setting up my camera in the correct place where the sun hit us just right and completely blacked us out.
